Welcome, I’m John Gerlick, a CPA in Englewood, Colorado.
We understand that individuals face unique challenges as they gather information for tax preparation. We can help take the mystery out of preparing for today and tomorrow. Whether your goal is to understand the tax system or just want someone else to do it for you, our personalized service focuses your needs, wants, goals and objectives. We also have an “unfair advantage” by having 50 years experience in tax preparation that allows us to analyze the tax implications of all financial decisions.
We also help you with the daunting task of starting a business. Schedule a conference to discuss the various choices of entities and find what is best for your situation. We then help you with the tax compliance and licensing issues by applying for Federal and State ID numbers. We can then help you set up your accounting system that works for you.
We have greatly appreciated your referrals over the years, however we are no longer able to take on any new clients. We also no longer prepare returns if you have: crypto currency transactions, sports betting transactions, foreign earned income, child dependency disputes, and limited partnership investments.
3 Ways to Prepare Your Tax Return
1. Face to Face Tax Appointments
You can make an appointment by calling Angela at 303-761-2750 or online by going to our website at https://gerlick.com and select the “Book Appointment” tab. Choose date and time available. You must have an e-mail address to confirm and if you use your cell phone you can also get a text reminder just before your appointment time.
2. Upload Information Through Secure Web Portal Without Appointment
You should already have access to your portal account that you can reach through our website https://gerlick.com and click on the “Client Portal” tab. Login with your assigned user name and the password that YOU created. Upload your documents in pdf format in one document and let us know when all your documents are uploaded. We will then schedule the next available time to work on your return. If you forgot your password, click on “Forgot Username/Password” and an e-mail will be sent to reset the password. If you are downloading documents from a prior year, remember that these files have a secondary password with the last four digits of your SSN.
Please note that jpg files are not acceptable, only pdf format and as one document. If you are not able to scan into one file, please deliver the documents in person or by mail.
3. Mail or Drop Off Your Information
You can send originals or copies of your documents. They will be returned to you. If you want to schedule a time to drop off your information with Angela, you can do that by calling 303 761-2750. Once we have your information, we will add you to our calendar for the next available time to get your return completed as soon as possible.
